The Russian Federation Ministry of Defence considers documents of economic departments stored with the help of internet resources as possible targets for hacker attacks. That’s why the Ministry began to study blockchain for introduction of this technology in work of the department and prevention of break-ins, Izvestia reports.

German Klimenko, former adviser to the President of Russia on internet development, stated that the Ministry of Defense is at the forefront of studying IT issues, which is useful for the whole industry.

Kaspersky Lab representative informed that during attacks hackers erase information from access log of devices, and blockchain will make it possible to distribute access log to several devices, which minimizes the risks.

As previously reported, Moscow Finance University introduced blockchain and will become the first university in Russia that uses blockchain technology to check documents.
