Binance Coin Is New Bitcoin — Justin Sun
Justin Sun, the head of the Tron Foundation, responded to the comment of the Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao on Twitter about an article published by Forbes and called Binance Coin (BNB) new bitcoin.
There was an article published in Forbes on the rapid growth of the Binance token, which contained numerous statistical data. Zhao posted a link to this material on Twitter.
Sun congratulated the BNB token with recent successes and compared it with bitcoin in his post. This statement caused numerous criticisms of Twitter users, some considered such a comparison incorrect.
Sun's words had grounds, despite being too flattering. The BNB token is showing unprecedented growth on the crypto market. According to CoinMarketCap, its value has increased by 37% since the beginning of March and amounted to $15.65 on March 7 at 04:30 (UTC).
Binance Coin became seventh by capitalization in the ranking for the first time, having shifted the Tether stablecoin one position down. Over the last day, BNB has added 15% in price. It should be noted that no other liquid cryptocurrency demonstrates such indicators.
Zhao stressed separately that the exchange will not conduct payments to the holders of the BNB tokens, so that this asset is not compared to securities.
Some analysts attribute the rising price of BNB to the holding of the next token sale on Binance Launchpad, as well as to the expectations of launching the decentralized Binance DEX platform.
