Presidential Candidate Shares Cryptocurrency Vision
In the USA, a program on cryptocurrency regulation has come from Andrew Young, the presidential candidate from the Democratic Party, who favors creating a clear legal basis in the field of cryptocurrencies. Young was the only candidate to declare his position on digital assets.
According to the politician, investors should not look to the regulatory authorities, since the technological sphere is ahead of the regulatory policy in development. Under these conditions, a number of states have already passed conflicting laws. The situation threatens to turn the country backward in investment, according to Young.
According to the program, Young intends to designate the status of tokens, define the powers of state bodies, ensure consumer protection regarding digital assets, create tax rules and a single legal field.
Representatives of the organization for the protection of the interests of the cryptocurrency market in the Washington Coin Center noted that Young made the right conclusions based on the current situation, and praised his program.
Previously, the US regulator, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), has published regulations for companies that issue cryptos, which can be used to determine whether these assets cover the status of securities. The ministry noted that important factors include the expected level of income, centralized elements and the ability to promote cryptocurrency markets.
As previously reported, the deputies of the government of Michigan voted for the introduction of amendments to the state criminal code relating to cryptocurrencies.
