Crypto Enthusiasts Get In Rating Of Most Powerful People

16:37 03/01/2019

Leaders of the crypto industry have been included in the rating of the most influential players in global finance, compiled by the American magazine Worth, which put them on a par with the presidents of the USA, Russia, and China.

The WorthPower100 list for 2018 includes world politicians, the US Congress senators, and chief executives of large financial holdings, such as JPMorgan Chase and Fidelity Investments. The 72nd place is taken by Kelly Loeffler, the head of Bakkt, a regulated crypto platform. Bakkt has recently completed the first round of funding, during which it raised more than $182 million from Microsoft, Galaxy Digital, and other major players.

It is noteworthy that faceless bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto got the 44th place. He managed to overtake the chief of the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde, and the President of the World Bank, Jim Yong Kim. By the way, last November, the IMF governor showed a friendly attitude towards the industry, calling on central banks to issue their own digital currencies.

Marc Andreessen, a venture investor and co-founder of Andreessen Horowitz, is almost at the end of the list, on the 95th line. Meanwhile, Facebook ideologist and creator Mark Zuckerberg holds 98th place.

The top-3 positions of the rating are taken by the Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Russian governor Vladimir Putin and the US president Donald Trump. Each of them has a different view on cryptos. If in China digital money and ICO are prohibited, Russia and the United States are more loyal to the technology and are trying to create a proper regulation.

Previously, Donald Trump appointed a bitcoin supporter head of the White House.
