Total Volume Of Bitcoin Transactions Grows By 1% Over Week — Huobi Report
The volume of transactions conducted in the Bitcoin blockchain grew by 1%, the number of active addresses in the network increased by 0.6% and amounted to 3.49 million users, and the number of transactions declined by 1.9% for the past week, according to the data presented in the Huobi statistical weekly report.
The Ethereum blockchain shows less positive indicators. The number of active addresses in the network declined by 1.7% to 970,000, the total transaction volume decreased by 21.1% and constituted 10.33 million ethers.
Visitors of Reddit, a news website, mentioned bitcoin and the NANO and Stellar cryptos most often. Bitcoin, ether, and EOS were most discussed on Chinese social networks, while NANO and Stellar became as popular as bitcoin worldwide.
In the “Events” category, the Chinese most often searched for the words “smart contract”, “contract”, and “decentralization”, while users from all over the world preferred topics related to the words “wallet”, “bot”, and “security”. Among the Chinese cryptocurrency exchanges, Huobi, Li Xiaolai, and OKEx were most often mentioned, and, abroad, the hottest topics were related to the trading platforms Coinbase, Binance, and HitBTC.
The Monero token undergone the largest correction of 1.1% in the crypto market. Bitcoin showed the smallest volatility coefficient of 0.0016, and Ripple demonstrated the highest volatility of 0.008.
