New Draft Laws On Crypto Sphere To Be Developed In Russia
The Parliament of the Russian Federation will adopt nine draft laws focused on the development and regulation of the digital economy, including the crypto sphere. Dmitry Sazonov, the Deputy Chairmen of the Committee on economic policy, industry, innovative development, and entrepreneurship, made such a statement, Forklog reports citing the “Parliamentary Newspaper”.
Sazonov also reported that the state authorities almost adopted the governmental plan on the development of the digital economy, the same name program of which was approved by Dmitry Medvedev, the Prime Minister of Russia, last year.
The draft laws should be passed by the end of 2018 and will regulate the cryptocurrency turnover, smart contracts, ICOs, and crowdfunding activities. The politician supposes that these initiatives should be included in the governmental agenda as soon as possible.
However, the draft law "On digital financial assets", submitted for the next reading in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, does not provide the definition of cryptocurrency and that of mining is changed.
As previously reported, specialists of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation intend to implement blockchain into the payment system within the country.
Also, the representatives of Rosatom, the company dealing with the development of nuclear power in Russia, announced plans to switch to blockchain and other innovative technologies, to implement them in their future projects.
