FintechLab Accelerator From Russia To Launch Two New Programs

17:30 27/03/2019
Russian Fintech Lab Looks For Startups In Banking And Investments

Fintech Lab, a Russian accelerator for financial technology startups, is recruiting projects for two new programs that will start in April-May 2019. The company has already begun to accept applications on its website.

The programs of the accelerator will allow young market participants to undergo training and launch their own startup in 12 weeks. In particular, Investtech 2019 is aimed at working with projects in the field of investment, and as a result, will provide an opportunity to open a pilot project with a real investment company. Such a partner will be the Russian firm BCS Broker, which has 23 years of experience in the brokerage market.

The second direction Banktech 3.0 focuses on startups from the banking sector, which are working on robotized communications, online marketing, biometrics, and other tasks.

The Banktech 3.0 accelerator is ready to patronize up to 30 projects, which will be able to launch a pilot project at the end of the program with such major partners as Absolut Bank and Gazprombank.

It is noteworthy that the goal of both programs is not investing in teams, but preparing them for joint projects with the market participants. Investtech 2019 and Banktech 3.0 will not take a share from startups for their participation in the accelerator. Applications for both directions can be submitted until April 10.

In December 2018, the Russian division of Bitfury and the international consulting firm PwC announced the launch of an accelerator for corporate blockchain projects. The companies also introduced the Exonum decentralized framework for training courses and seminars.

Previously, the Argentine authorities decided to invest in local blockchain startups supported by Binance.
