Blockchain Specialists Are Most In Demand In USA — LinkedIn

The profession of blockchain developer is becoming increasingly popular and is the most sought-after in the United States today, according to the LinkedIn’s research.

 

The study is based on data from the economic chart of the social network with the analysis of vacancies, which are considered most wanted by employers. It turned out that the demand for specialists involved in the blockchain development increased 33 times in 2018, especially in such large metropolitan areas as San Francisco, New York, and Atlanta.

The primary skills and abilities that are needed in this work include reliability, good knowledge of the crypto sphere, distributed ledger technology, the Ethereum blockchain, and the Node.js software platform.

 

Among other professions, popular in 2018, the study also mentions specialists in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning engineers, demand for which increased 12 times compared with 2017.

According to Cointelegraph, 645 job ads containing the terms “blockchain”, “bitcoin” or “cryptocurrency” were published on LinkedIn in 2016. In the following year, their number increased to 1800, and in May 2018, there were already 4500 vacant jobs. Lately, the LinkedIn search displays 13,816 applications related to blockchain and 2479 — to cryptocurrency.

 

As previously reported, Facebook, the world's leading social network, was hiring five blockchain specialists.
