More Than Half Of World Largest Companies Invest In Blockchain

The Okta company, working in the field of corporate identity, published a report on the official website, according to which 61% of large companies in the digital industry from all over the world are investing in distributed ledger technology.

The San Francisco-based company has compiled a report document analyzing innovative trends in the technological developments of the largest companies in the world. In order to find out how companies use new technologies, Okta representatives surveyed 1050 people in management positions in the field of IT, digital security, and design during January-February 2019.

The survey results showed that most companies prefer to invest in the development of the Internet of Things (72%) and artificial intelligence (68%). Investing in blockchain attracts 61% of respondents, and 58% stated they prefer to contribute funds in augmented reality technology.

90% of the respondents who are large business representatives stated that their company's activities are aimed, among other things, at developing digital transformation, for which they invest in at least one of the above-mentioned technologies.

According to the report of the International Data Corporation, global spending on blockchain technology in 2019 will amount to almost $2.9 billion, which is 88.7% more than in 2018.

As previously reported, Thailand’s financial regulator banned the use of Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash as investment tools.
