Johnny Depp Joins TaTaTu Blockchain Project
Andrea Iervolino, the head of AMBI Media Group, tweeted about the start of a partnership with Johnny Depp within the framework of blockchain project TaTaTu.
Due to cooperation with Infinitum Nihil, a film production company founded by the famous actor, the digital platform TaTaTu will be able to provide the network filled up with high-quality video content, The Hollywood Reporter informs.
TaTaTu is aimed at developing a social entertainment network in which users will get an opportunity to receive digital rewards for watching movies, TV shows, and other video materials. In the summer, the startup managed to raise $575 million through an ICO, thereby entering the list of top three companies in terms of raising funds, including Telegram and EOS.
The idea of cooperation between the two companies came during the joint work on the screen version of “Waiting for the Barbarians,” the novel written by John Coetzee. The movie, which was shot under the auspices of AMBI and starring Depp, will be the first joint project for the TaTaTu platform.
According to Iervolino, Depp has a special feature to see the project’s key idea, and that is very useful in the development of this cooperation. In turn, the actor noted the progressiveness of the blockchain project, which will be extremely fortuitous in the modern day movie industry “in this era of democratized entertainment”.
As previously reported, the brokerage platform eToro released a new promotional video featuring a star of the popular “Game of Thrones.”
