David Lynch To Work With Breaker Blockchain Studio
SingularDTV, the American film production blockchain studio, changed its name to Breaker and invited David Lynch and Steven Soderbergh, the well-known filmmakers, to participate in the project, Verdict reports.
Along with the change of the name, the studio managers promise a new approach to the production and display of films. Breaker launched a decentralized app based on blockchain technology, which will be focused on the interests of consumers and will help film producers to protect the copyright of their works.
A music producer Zach LeBeau and film producer Kim Jackson were at the origin of the SingularDTV creation in 2016. Besides, Joseph Lubin, Ethereum co-founder and the head of ConsenSys, took part in the establishment of the studio.
Breaker is a company characterized by the dynamic development and, figuratively speaking, it resembles the energy of a huge wave that hits the coast, LeBeau stated. In his opinion, this is the effect that the studio should have on the entertainment industry.
Jackson believes that as a pioneer in the field of cryptocurrency and blockchain, their team realized at a very early stage that distributed ledger technology offers absolute transparency in the data transfer, and the workers in the field of art should take advantage of this opportunity.
The cooperation with Breaker will allow finding new ways of doing business and simplify it, Steven Soderbergh believes. He stressed that if the future looks like this, he wants to be there as soon as possible.
As previously reported, an actor William Shatner supported a co-founder of the Ethereum network Vitalik Buterin.
