Digital Asset Shares DAML Language For Smart Contracts
Developers of the blockchain-based company Digital Asset have published a language code DAML for creating digital contracts and also shared a set of SDK tools for writing programs, according to the blog.
DAML is a functional language, convenient to program smart contracts used for multilateral business operations. It allows concentrating on the very logic of apps, without having to think about the difficulties of working with blockchain. Due to this, developers will be able to launch new products on the market quickly.
It is noted that DAML and SDK were used in most major projects launched under the auspices of Digital Asset in collaboration with the Australian and Hong Kong stock exchanges.
They were also tested by the participants of the beta program for developers — a consulting firm Accenture, bank BNP Paribas, and others. Products from Digital Asset are available now for free to other specialists working under the Apache 2.0 license. The company representatives hope that this will help the blockchain developer community create more advanced apps and upgrade DAML and SDK.
Shaul Kfir, a co-founder and the technical director of Digital Asset, stated that DAML is the most suitable language for writing blockchain apps on any platform, which are countless nowadays. The DAML and SDK tools in open access will promote innovations by offering new features to the distributed ledger specialists.
