US Blockchain Project To Begin Developing Data Centers
The American company Blockchain Holdings Capital Ventures (BHCV) has concluded a partnership agreement with the manufacturer of containers for cargo SG Blocks to create multi-container information processing centers, as follows from a press release on the BHCV website.
BHCV, which concentrates mostly on technological developments, real estate, and energy, will be the only partner of the SG Blocks project in the design of decentralized information processing centers. It is assumed that the test model will be launched in late 2019.
BHCV intends to open a distribution channel to expand the production of data centers in the amount of 150 to 200 units before the beginning of 2020. Most of these will be immovable, but the company intends to develop mobile modifications as well. Running such portable centers will be cheaper and managing them — more flexible. In particular, the mobile data management center can be located in peripheral areas, which will reduce the cost of electricity.
SG Blocks was established in 2007 to manufacture containers using environmentally friendly materials. The firm's customers include such large companies as Marriott, Starbucks, Aman, Taco Bell, and Equinox, as well as several units of the US armed forces.
As previously reported, the technology giant IBM launched the blockchain mainnet from a data center in the Australian city of Melbourne.
