Analysts Name Countries With Highest Number Of Cryptocurrency Traders
Analysts from a Belarusian marketing agency BDCenter studied data of the world's most popular crypto exchanges and concluded that the highest number of their users is based in the United States and Russia.
The report says that over 30% of traders hold operations from the US, and their average age is about 30 years. In Russia, there are 15% of all crypto exchange users. A half of them are between 25 and 40 years old, and another 30% are traders from the category of 18-25 years old.
China is ranked third by the number of traders — 11% of users, from 20 to 30 years old, are trading from here. The country is followed by Vietnam (10%) and Turkey (7%).
Moreover, the study revealed that crypto traders are users having complete higher education, most often in the field of mathematics or economics.
The BDCenter experts reviewed a total of 30 most popular exchanges, including Binance, Huobi, Bitfinex, Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, and others, as well as analyzed their profitability. In August 2018, Binance was the most profitable platform — trading and listing fees (for adding new tokens) brought the company more than $153 million.
The highest listing cost is at the Huobi platform: adding a coin will cost here $3.5 million. The Bibox and Binance exchanges charge a fee of over $1 million for this service.
As the experts found out, 13 of the 30 examined platforms have their own token. Reportedly, only the Binance (BNB) and Bibox coins are available on other exchanges, and solely the Binance token can be used on third-party services. BNB is on the 13th place by capitalization, with the price of $5.89, according to CoinMarketCap as of December 6.
Earlier, the head of a crypto fund stated that the collapse of the ICO market would not hamper the industry’s growth.
