US Is Leading In Number Of Crypto Traders On Exchanges
Analytical company DataLight tweeted data on the number of users of five popular crypto trading platforms, which show that the majority of traders are residents of the United States of America.
The largest number of traders from the United States is represented on the Coinbase crypto exchange (60%), which is not surprising since it is the leading crypto platform of this country. Binance, Bittrex, and Poloniex exchanges have more modest indicators, but nonetheless the number of Americans is within the range of 24% to 28%.
Least of all customers from the US have accounts on Bitfinex (10%), this is the only platform where most of the customers are Germans (more than 13%).
Among the top five countries on these trading platforms, apart from the US and Germany, most often are the United Kingdom and Italy. Russia appears in the ranking of three trading platforms – Binance and Poloniex (2nd places), Bitfinex (4th place), and Ukraine is in two ratings – Bitfinex (3rd place) and Poloniex (4th place).
DataLight specialists did not explain why they made a sample for these five crypto exchanges, and what was the basis for the criteria. These data do not mean that the absolute majority of the world's crypto traders live in the United States.
Twitter users are also wondering what served as the criteria for selection. Some have called this sample fantastic.
Earlier, analysts of the Belarusian marketing agency BDCenter concluded based on their research that the majority of crypto traders are located in the US and Russia.
