Trezor Updates: Support For New Tokens And WebUSB Added
Big news today! Largely thanks to the community effort, new firmware version 2.0.9 for Trezor Model T now includes a support for an array of new coins. A new firmware version 1.7.1 for Trezor One has been also released with full WebUSB support! https://t.co/xUnH6gvERv— Trezor (@Trezor) 7 ноября 2018 г.
The Model T firmware update to version 2.0.9 includes support of the tokens users previously asked for. These are Monero, Cardano, and Stellar. Besides, Ripple, Tezos, Decred, Groestlcoin, and Zencash were added by specialists from the community. Also, the device now supports the recently released hardfork Zcash Sapling.
One of the main changes in the Trezor One wallet, version 1.7.1, is integration of the WebUSB communication protocol. With it, users can connect to their wallets and password manager (Trezor Password Manager) directly through the Google Chrome browser. Previously, this was only possible with the tool called Trezor Bridge. It is noted that now the wallet can be managed through a smartphone on the Android OS if connected through a cable.
Also, Trezor wallets now fully support Digibyte (DGB) tokens. Before the update, users manually configured the server to work with these coins.
The company specialists position their wallet as safe and convenient to use, continuing to improve the device from the very first models. Earlier, Trezor introduced the option of converting cryptos directly in the wallet interface.
