Samsung Galaxy S10 To Contain Crypto Keys
Samsung, a tech corporation from South Korea, introduced Galaxy S10, a new mobile device with embedded hardware, which stores users' personal keys for mobile blockchain services, the press service of the company reported.
With the release of Galaxy S10, Samsung will become the third well-known company that integrates blockchain solutions into its devices. Prior to the South Korean manufacturer, similar smartphones were released by HTC (Exodus 1) and SIRIN Labs (FINNEY).
First information about the development of Samsung's blockchain solution in its new model of its smartphone appeared in late 2018. Back then the company did not give any comments, although three applications to the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) contained information about blockchain technology.
Then, in January 2019, photos of the new smartphone were published on the Internet, and it was reported that the Samsung Blockchain Keystore app would be embedded in the model.
Now the company officially confirmed in a press release that its next device contains a blockchain solution. Samsung is positioning Galaxy S10 as a premium smartphone, creating the foundation for a new generation of mobile devices.
The Galaxy S series was launched in 2009 and has since become a symbol of innovation, DongJin Koh, the general manager of IT & Mobile Communications Samsung, stated. Based on a multi-year heritage, the Galaxy S10 developers offer an innovative display, camera, and high performance.
