The Kraken representatives believe that the deal will allow the company to take the world’s leading positions in trading cryptocurrency futures. Besides, the exchange has always strived to meet users' demand for innovative products and services. Clients will get access to futures in six crypto pairs and will be able to conduct highly efficient trading.
Currently, Kraken has more than 4 million users from over 190 countries worldwide, both private individuals and companies. The exchange provides an opportunity to trade with 20 cryptocurrencies and 70 trading pairs, offering the most popular tools in the crypto sphere for monitoring market conditions.
Crypto Facilities, in turn, offers users the option of trading in bitcoin, ether, Ripple (XRP), and Litecoin futures, apart from just crypto trading. Moreover, the exchange is regulated and operates in accordance with the requirements of the UK Financial Supervision Authority.
Jesse Powell, Kraken's CEO, expressed satisfaction with the deal and assured users that the company's services will be expanded soon. According to him, decent offers will be made to traders and institutional clients in 2019.
The parties did not specify the amount of the transaction, stating that it is a nine-digit amount, and it is the largest acquisition of Kraken as of today. The Crypto Facilities office will remain in London.
As previously reported, the Kraken trading platform plans to conduct a private shares offering.
