Hodl Hodl Crypto Exchange No Longer Provides Support For Litecoin
Representatives of the global crypto P2P exchange Hodl Hodl announced on the blog that the platform stops supporting the Litecoin (LTC) currency due to a low demand and will be focused only on bitcoin operations.
The exchange launched trading with Litecoin in 2017, mainly due to the similarity with the working mechanism of the first crypto network, as follows from the blog.
According to the developers, the management and support of operations with LTC requires too much of the company's resources, so it was decided to focus the platform on trading in bitcoin exclusively. Users can purchase and sell BTC worldwide, choosing any payment method using any currency, including crypto assets.
Hodl Hodl representatives reported that they do not intend to add other basic cryptocurrencies to the exchange. At the same time, users were advised to follow the updates on the blog, as the developers “have some thoughts” regarding expanding the listing.
At the end of 2018, the company managed to raise private investment, which was directed to the development of a peer-to-peer service called “Predictions” for making deals, the result of which depends on the outcome of a particular situation. Besides, Hodl Hodl launched an over-the-counter platform.
As previously reported, the price of the Litecoin cryptocurrency has increased by 100% over three months and amounts to a little more than $60, while it was traded at about $30 in early 2019.
