EOS Community Votes For New Guidance Document
The miners of EOS blocks have reached a consensus on the EOS User Agreement (EUA), it will replace the interim constitution of blockchain in the form of a new governing document, CryptoDaily reports.
Out of the 30 miners of EOS blocks, 21 voted for the new document. It should be noted that the main role in network management will still belong to the block miners.
Earlier, the so-called EOS Core Arbitration Forum (ECAF) operated in the network, it was declared untenable, because there were many arbitration cases for consideration of which there was no time left. Even in the case of consideration and adoption of the ECAF decision, it could not be implemented until the block miners approved it. In this regard, no decision was made for many important problems for a long time.
The EOS community expresses the hope that the EUA will become the basis for the work of the network and will support democratic principles. Previously, there were constantly problems with the turnout of the token owners, often it did not reach the required 15%. Moreover, the voting turnout for the EUA was only about 2%, so the final decision was taken by the block miners.
Disputes and discussions on the powers of the block miners were present from the very beginning of the EOS blockchain existence. A number of analysts expressed the opinion that the share proof mechanism (DPoS), which formed the basis of the network, contradicted the principles of decentralization.
Earlier, Brendan Blamer, the head of the EOS blockchain platform, suggested that in 20 years bitcoin will replace gold as the main means of preserving value.
