CoinPayments To Support BitTorrent Token
CoinPayments, a company providing money transfer services, announced support for the BitTorrent network protocol on its blog and integrated the BTT token so that customers can make payments using this digital asset.
CoinPayments has been working with cryptocurrencies for quite some time. Users can pay for the BitTorrent premium services with BTC, TRON, or Binance Coin.
From now on, customers have the opportunity to purchase BitTorrent's services and various options for the BTT tokens. Among the options, there are the conversion of files, high-quality data streaming, and protection from malicious programmes.
The cooperation with the CoinPayments will boost the BTT tokens liquidity, Justin Sun, TRON's founder and chief executive at BitTorrent, stated. He added that BTT will be fully embedded in computer and mobile apps.
The BitTorrent protocol was launched in 2001, and today it is used by more than 100 million customers worldwide. BTT was created to make the platform more efficient and to ensure its optimal functioning for many years ahead.
As previously reported, the value of the launched BitTorrent coins exceeded their original price from the tokensale almost ten times — it was $0.0012 on February 5, 2019. According to CoinMarketCap as of February 8, 06:14 (UTC), BTT was already trading at $0.0008, and the trading volume amounted to $128.8 million over the last day.
