Coinbase To Give Free Tokens For Completing Tasks
A popular American exchange Coinbase added BAT (Basic Attention Token) to its Coinbase Earn educational platform. Beginners willing to learn more about the cryptocurrency world can get a small reward in tokens for viewing videos, as reported on Twitter.
The company will pay $10 to everyone who takes the small course and completes all interactive tasks. The platform offers four short videos about the BAT token and web browser Brave, developed by the same company.
Coinbase started supporting BAT last November. Basic Attention Token serves for advertising on the Internet. According to design, promoters should buy the coins for the opportunity to place their ads. Also, users who want to watch commercials voluntarily will get the tokens for free.
The BAT cryptocurrency appeared on the market in July 2017. The issuing company conducted an ICO, managing to sell a billion tokens in a minute and raise $35 million. Currently, Basic Attention Token is 35th by capitalization in the CoinMarketCap rating.
Last year, Coinbase began to pay the 0x (ZRX) coins to users who study cryptos. As Federico Tenga, a bitcoin entrepreneur and co-founder of the Chainside service, said about Coinbase Earn, there is a hope that the platform will become a truly useful resource, and not another tool for promoting illiquid tokens.
The exchange acquired the startup Earn.com last year for more than $120 million.
Moreover, Coinbase is going to help users pay crypto trading taxes.
