Abra Platform Starts Supporting Investments In Bitcoin
The trading platform Abra added an option of bitcoin investments in its mobile application. Now, using the first cryptocurrency, users can invest in traditional assets, namely in stocks and exchange traded funds (ETF), according to the company's website.
Through the whole 2019, Abra won’t be charging fees for investments in bitcoins. The minimal amount of an investment is only $5.
However, in order to work with zero fees for the whole year, users need to apply for early access and wait for their turn. Thus, about 8000 customers are waiting for this opportunity at the moment.
Users from 115 countries can trade from the Abra mobile app. The head of the company, Bill Barhydt, said this list will continue to expand as people are going to understand the advantages of decentralized money, which then will inevitably enter into circulation, and bitcoin will facilitate this. He added that the best investment opportunities should not depend on user's residence and earnings.
Today Abra offers 50 options for investment. Stocks of such significant players as Apple, Netflix and Google, traditional exchange-traded funds, as well as indices such as the S&P 500 are among them.
According to Bill Barhydt, working with financial assets should be easy and understandable. For this purpose, the application provides traders with data on price charts and various summaries, which allows to make well-considered decisions.
Last year, the trading platform launched its own cryptocurrency index Bitwise 10 Large Cap Crypto. With its help, retail investors can track the 10 most liquid cryptocurrencies that make up 80% of the total market capitalization.
Previously, shares of the Circle startup lost more than $2 billion.
