Tron Blockchain Ecosystem Launches New Virtual Machine
Justin Sun, the head of the Tron crypto project, a blockchain ecosystem supporting TRX cryptocurrency and dApps, announced the launch of the TRON Virtual Machine (TVM).
The businessman informed in a company’s blog on Medium that TVM was launched on August 30. The virtual machine is a kind of software environment that represents as a platform with its original set of features for creating new products. TVM will provide developers with full access to the Tron ecosystem and simplify the process of creating and implementing various solutions significantly based on the company's own blockchain.
Tron representatives noted that their new product is completely compatible with the Ethereum virtual machine, which greatly simplifies the creation of blockchain apps. Developers will have the opportunity to use the familiar Solidity programming language and to create their products on the Tron network without switching to another coding method. Besides, the company’s representatives stressed that they plan to expand the list of supported virtual machines, which will be another step towards the popularization of Tron among developers.
The particular feature of TVM is its suppot of the DPoS mechanism, which determines the process of generating new blocks, and it is peculiar that smart contracts will not require sufficient gas for operations unlike the Ethereum virtual machine.
As previously reported, the KuCoin trading platform announced the support of the Tron network and adding the TRX token to the listing.
