Sirin Startup To Launch Blockchain Smartphone Finney In Late 2018
The representatives of Sirin Labs stated that the development of the Finney blockchain smartphone will be finished by the end of 2018. The smartphone’s estimated cost will be $1 thousand.
Specialists started working on this project at the end of 2017, when the startup managed to attract over $150 million during the ICO. It is worth mentioning that $110 million were collected for the first day.
The product is based on the Sirin operating system. Finney includes the functions of the cold cryptocurrency wallet, a Token Conversion Service (TCS), and the decentralized app store. The blockchain smartphone is developed with the assistance of Foxconn, the Taiwanese startup.
New smartphones will be sold in Japan, the United States, and the UK. In addition, the Sirin Labs team intends to develop an inexpensive computer based on blockchain.
As previously reported, the Taiwanese company HTC will develop a blockchain smartphone Exodus in late 2018.
