Yevgeny Abakumov, the head of the information technology department at a state-owned company, states that digital technologies will increase the efficiency of production processes. Moreover, there is an acute shortage of specialists in this field in the country.
Alexei Kudrin, the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of Russia, who was then the head of the Center for Strategic Research, reported this issue in July. He stated that the country needed at least 120 thousand specialists in the field of modern technologies, including blockchain.
In early September, Olga Skorobogatova, a member of the board of directors of the Russian Central Bank, stressed that the country's financial regulator will actively introduce blockchain technology along with other innovative solutions.
As previously reported, a draft law "On digital financial assets", which has undergone several changes, is under consideration for the second reading in the Russian State Duma. The document no longer provides for the regulation of crypto transactions, and mining is considered in it as a form of ICO.
