Technical staff improved the work of the blockchain, based on the previous EOSIO version 1.2.0, the principal objective of which was to reduce the time of the node installation and accelerate the network synchronization.
Block.one staff members have implemented the possibility of easier block verification from members of the EOSIO ecosystem. In the release, the existing software and hardware part of the service is replaced with some solutions based on the effective bytecode WebAssembly. The innovation will allow EOSIO-based blockchains to speed up the processing of operations significantly.
Representatives of the company-developer stated that in later versions they will remove the eosiocpp utility, designed to create smart contracts in decentralized apps. Another innovation is the alternative in the form of EOSIO.CDT with the support of the Gnu and C++ programming languages.
Block.one specialists pay special attention to the support from the EOS community. Users’ feedbacks and their useful advice contributed to the improvement of the network's technical characteristics. New releases will be published monthly on every second Tuesday. Moreover, users will be regularly informed on the current operation of the network.
As previously reported, the Bitfinex crypto exchange will open a decentralized platform for crypto trading based on the EOS blockchain.
