Lightspeed To Invest $1,8 Billion In Crypto And Other Startups
The management team of Lightspeed Venture Partners is going to invest $1.8 billion in various venture projects, including crypto-related ones, Reuters reports.
Investors are aimed at the South-East Asian market represented by a number of young business projects. At the same time, $1.05 billion will go to the accounts of companies that have already showed themselves.
Since startups increasingly prefer private rather than public financing, Lightspeed is preparing to repeatedly invest in projects for a few years in order to stay in a larger share. Also, Lightspeed earned $2.7 billion on investments in 2017 and plans to beat its previous profit record.
As previously reported, half of startups fail after ICO.
