BitFi Crypto Wallet Starts To Work With ERC-20 Tokens
The representatives of the BitFi crypto wallet reported on Twitter that their product added support for ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain.
Not so long ago, BitFi supported only bitcoin, ether, EOS, NEO, GAS, Litecoin, and Monero, but now the wallet will become more functional for its owners. The crypto wallet developers informed the customers that they can use the new option by viewing the etherscan statistics. There they will find the coordinates of the required token. After that, it is necessary to enter the contract, name, and the required number of decimal signs.
BIG NEWS: In a few hours Bitfi is adding support for ALL erc-20 assets to every wallet. No more 3rd party websites to access your tokens!— Bitfi (@Bitfi6) 16 августа 2018 г.
Currently, the BitFi crypto wallet can compete with other hardware competitors such as Trezor and Ledger Nano S. The developers don’t intend to stop there and promise to provide customers with new improvements in the coming months. It is expected that the number of supported cryptocurrencies will increase.
The BitFi specialists initially positioned their wallet as “invincible” to hacking. The executive chairman of BitFi John McAfee commented on the wallet’s high security level and the impossibility to steal any funds without having access to unlock it.
In support of his words, McAfee promised a reward valued at $100,000 to anyone who will make it possible to breach the wallet and make a transaction by sending assets from it. Thereupon the reward had a twofold increase.
Recently, crypto enthusiasts have attempted to hack the device. Andrew Tierney, an employee at Pen Test Partners, made a post on Twitter concerning the successful attempt how to hack and transfer money. However, nothing is yet known about John McAfee’s reaction regarding the case at hand.
In addition, a 15-year-old teenager Salem Rashid posted a video on his Twitter that demonstrated the launch of the DOOM video game on Bitfi.
