SK Group And ConsenSys To Create Blockchain Center
SK Group, the South Korean technology holding company, has signed a cooperation agreement with ConsenSys, which envisages the creation of a business center for the study and development of blockchain technology, Cointelegraph reports referring to the company’s press release.
SK Holdings C&C, the SK Group division for the development of information technology solutions, will be responsible for the organization of the whole process.
The agreement is aimed at creating a business model based on blockchain technology using smart contracts, the press release says. The partners plan to develop this model to improve business by analyzing decentralized platforms, various technologies, and services.
The contract also provides for Korean experts to study the Ethereum blockchain technology at ConsenSys Academy and SK Holdings C&C Tech Center. The schedule of classes will be published before the end of 2018.
ConsenSys can be considered quite popular in the market of modern technologies in Asia. In the summer of 2018, it began to cooperate with the government of Xiongan in the Chinese province of Hebei to use blockchain in the development of urban infrastructure.
SK Group has already taken some steps in the blockchain and crypto sphere. SK Telecom, its branch, has invested in the Korbit cryptocurrency exchange as one of its principal investors.
As previously reported, ConsenSys entered the first Mexican blockchain association.
