Mercury FX To Use Ripple Technology

Mercury FX, a company carrying out international payment transfers, announced the continuation of cooperation with the Ripple crypto platform and the use of its xRapid technology. The respective announcement was posted on Ripple's Twitter.

During the press conference, Mercury FX executive director Alastair Constance stated that the company would create ten payment corridors based on xRapid using the XRP token by the end of the first half of 2019 within the framework of cooperation.

Customers will soon feel the difference since the time spent on transfers from the United Kingdom to Canada and the countries of the Middle East will reduce significantly and they will become much cheaper. Besides, Mercury FX will spread the technology to other territories, including Latin America and Southeast Asia.

The xRapid technology, according to Constance, will enable many clients to become familiar with the advantages of blockchain. Any consumer will be satisfied if his payment passes faster and becomes cheaper, the head of Mercury FX added.

Mercury FX began its work in the UK in 2017. Currently it has offices in London, Hong Kong, and Cape Town.

As previously reported, Western Union, one of the world’s leading payment companies, is considering Ripple technology as the basis for its future activities.
